GN-01 · General note

No noise.
No dust.

Clients call it Triple N-D, and it is the number one request we receive. We have spent decades building 30-plus proprietary procedures around exactly that: sealed barriers, covered finishes, quiet methods, a site that gets cleaner as the day goes on. Your neighbours find out you demoed when the reno starts, not before.

Noise and dust held to construction levels, not demolition levels.

Sheet D-01

Demolition

Soft interior / Structural / Selective

From a kitchen gut to a full house takedown to condo work where one wall goes and everything beside it stays perfect. Selective means selective: what the drawings keep, we keep.

  • Soft interior strip-outs, ready for trades
  • Structural removals and full takedowns
  • Selective demolition in occupied buildings

Excavation

Site clearing / Dig-outs / Tight access

Dig-outs and site clearing, including the tight-access jobs where a machine cannot reach and careful hands can.

Underpinning

Basement lowering / Foundations

Lower the basement, gain a storey of living space. Dug in sequence, poured in sequence, checked at every stage, so the house above never knows it happened.

Walkthrough

We visit the site, look at what is coming out and what is staying, and talk through access, neighbours and timing.

02

Clear quote

Scope in writing before we book a crew. You know what is included, what is not, and what it costs.

03

Protect + prep

Every finish that stays, floors and stairs included, gets covered and sealed first. This step is not optional and never skipped.

04

The demo

Barriers go up before the first cut and stay sealed until the last bag of debris leaves.

05

Handoff

Debris gone, site broom-swept, ready for your trades in the morning. We demo. You reno.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 16 Google reviews Since 1980 · Toronto + GTA

"The demo itself was incredibly fast, efficient - and clean! We've had so many renos done over the years and working with this team has been the best experience so far."

Michelle · kitchen demolition · Google review

"There was care taken to respect our property; the site was always clean and orderly, despite the nature of the underpinning work. Every aspect of working with DFYR was amazing."

Underpinning client · Google review

"The team's ability to selectively demolish parts of the condo while preserving others was truly remarkable."

The crew behind the quiet

Demo For Your Reno has been at this since 1980, and it runs differently than most demolition outfits. Hiring starts with a day on a crew, not a resume. The company is women-led, pays a living wage, and puts hours back into the city through its Robin Hood Builds program.

  • Note 1Women-led company
  • Note 2Living wage employer
  • Note 3Robin Hood Builds community program
  • Note 4Crews trained in-house on the Triple N-D procedures
